SEPTEMBER 17

An individual reported to MSPD that he was followed home and yelled at in the 400 block of El Monte Place. An officer had a conversation with both parties and the issue was resolved.

MSPD officers recovered a stolen vehicle found in the 400 block of Manitou Avenue out of Colorado Springs. Investigation is ongoing.

Officers responded to a traffic accident that occurred at El Paso Boulevard and Pinon Lane involving a Metro bus and a parked vehicle. No injuries were reported.

 

SEPTEMBER 18

Officers responded to a vehicle versus light pole traffic accident that occurred sometime overnight in the 00 block of Manitou Avenue. No suspect or vehicle info available. 

Officers responded to a call in the 00 block of Manitou Avenue regarding a menacing that had just occurred. Officers responded quickly and arrested the suspect for felony menacing and attempted first degree assault. As the investigation continued it was found that both parties involved committed crimes against each other. The second suspect had a warrant issued.

An unknown subject removed a 1980 Fantic Lei moped from the victim’s residence in the 600 block of Manitou Avenue. An investigation is ongoing.

 

SEPTEMBER 19

Officers responded to an establishment in Green Mountain Falls for a possible disturbance. A 41-year-old Woodland Park female was taken into custody on multiple charges.

MSPD Officers observed a male party known to have an active arrest warrant who was taken into custody without incident. Male party was transported and lodged at CJC.

Officers responded to a two-vehicle traffic accident at Manitou Avenue and Oak Place. Vehicles had minor damage and no parties were cited.

 

SEPTEMBER 20

Officers stopped a vehicle for swerving and speeding. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUID.

An officer stopped a vehicle for driving without headlights near 31st Street and W. Colorado Avenue. The driver was arrested for DUI and then taken to the hospital due to suicidal statements.

 

SEPTEMBER 21

Officers towed multiple vehicles which had not been moved in time for an event. Attempts were made to contact the owners before towing the vehicles.

MSPD officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Pawnee Avenue for an illegal camping complaint. On arrival, MSPD officers contacted a female party who became combative and spit on an officer. Female party was taken into custody and lodged at CJC.
