SEPTEMBER 3

MSPD officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with fictitious plates in the 1100 block of Manitou Avenue. The operator was cited for other violations. The vehicle was towed.

 

SEPTEMBER 6

A vehicle was stopped in the 00 block of Manitou Avenue for expired registration. The driver was found to be operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs. The driver, a Colorado Springs man, was taken into custody for DUI.

Officers stopped a vehicle after observing it driving the wrong way in the road on N. 36th Street and W. Colorado Avenue. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI.

 

SEPTEMBER 7

Officers stopped a vehicle swerving outside its lane in the 300 block of Manitou Avenue. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI and taken into custody after resisting arrest.

Officers contacted a vehicle to check on the driver in the downtown Manitou Springs area. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI.

Officers were informed of an incident that was not reported on Sept. 6 regarding a trespassed individual trespassing at a business in the 100 block of Manitou Avenue. While there, the suspect threw a fountain drink into the rotisserie hotdog cooker. The suspect was identified, and a summons was completed to be served.

Officers stopped a motorcycle after it jumped a curb and accelerated excessively fast in the 00 block of Manitou Avenue. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI.

A juvenile male came to the Manitou Springs fire station and reported issues between him and his mother. Officers returned the child home and an investigation is ongoing.

Officers took a report of possible child abuse involving a juvenile female. An investigation is ongoing.

 

SEPTEMBER. 8

Officers responded to a two-vehicle traffic accident. One driver was cited for limitations on backing.

Officers responded to an alleged assault. After interviewing impartial witnesses, probable cause was developed for third degree assault. The suspect was served and released.
